About Daniel J Turvey
Daniel Turvey, NCARB is the founding principal and sole owner of Dan Joseph Architects (2001 to present) and perhaps best known for his western designs that are sensitive to energy efficiency, responsive to place, program and respectful of Owner’s budget. Notably, Dan received an AIA Honor Award, State of Montana in blind review from International Fame Fentress Architects of Colorado, prominently recognized for the Denver International Airport. Projects evaluated were solicited from across the entire State of Montana, completed over a 5 year period of review and inclusive of all works built anywhere in the United States. The culmination of Dan's work is further underscored by a resilient appreciation from a world wide audience, television, book publications, periodical features and a strong online attendance.
Covering his span of experience, Dan has lived and practiced in Michigan, Montana and Wyoming. Early in his profession, Dan was the youngest appointment as understudy to a Vice President of a Top-Three National Construction Enterprise. Shortly thereafter, Dan became a well-respected Founder and CEO of an Ann Arbor, Michigan based, Bonded, Bid-Build, Commercial Construction Company. While coordinating hundreds of skilled tradesmen, Dan secured and delivered hundreds of projects valued in the multi-millions as a Specialty Contractor, Prime Contractor, General Contractor and Construction Administrator. His Construction Company was ultimately recognized as an Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 500.
Later, Dan elected to begin his Professional education as an Architect. His Master of Architecture Degree was earned from Montana State University, Bozeman where he was bestowed distinction as a Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society in Architecture recipient. Dan is a Nationally Registered Architect (NCARB) currently licensed in the State of Washington, Montana and Wyoming.
Dan’s Architecture and past works can be found in Michigan, Montana, Wyoming and Illinois while some of his notable assignments remain confidential, unpublished and archived in Washington, DC at the US Library of Congress. Past service locations also include South Dakota, Ohio, Georgia, Florida and Nevada. In short, Dan diligently offers Architecture, Construction Administration, Real Estate Sales & Development, Consulting, Mediation and as an AEC-Subject Matter Expert, supporting legal teams located throughout the United States from his service locations found in Big Sky and Bozeman, Montana and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
